Summertime at Grand Targhee is mountain living at its best. The days are warm, the nights are cool, and the air is alive with possibilities. Things to do include, ride the chair lift to the top for a spectacular view. Take a hike, ride a bike, enjoy music in the open air, relax with a book by the pool. Or simply enjoy being with the people you love.
Scenic Chairlift
You'll find a totally different perspective of the Teton Mountain Range by taking Grand Targhee's Scenic Chairlift. The Dreamcatcher Chairlift offers a smooth ride over Grand Targhee's Fred Mountain, to the summit at 10,000 feet. In front of you lies the Teton Mountain Range, behind you, spectacular views of Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. You are surrounded by National Forest. When you get to the top of the mountain, an easy hike will afford some of the best views of the Grand Teton available.
There are quite a few hikes that originate from the top of the Dreamcatcher lift, or you can ride the lift back down to the base area.
Biking
Grand Targhee offers mountain biking for beginner, intermediate and expert riders. Whether you enjoy cruising through the wildflowers at the base area, or taking your bike up the Dreamcatcher chairlift for a more thrilling ride, there is adventure to be had on wheels at Grand Targhee. Double track and single track riding is available.
Ropes Course, Zip Line and Climbing Wall
The Challenge and Ropes Courses are a fun, productive and significant team building challenge for any group or individual.
Enjoy high and low ropes course activities that provide an opportunity to develop a greater sense of teamwork, communication, trust, leadership and risk taking. Everyone wants to fly and here's your chance! Take a leap from the specially designed Zip Line platform, your arms and legs completely free, and slide down the cable for the ride of your life (don't worry...you'll be harnessed!) Experience the fun and challenge of sport climbing right at the base area. The experienced staff at Grand Targhee will help coach you to the top of the specially designed climbing wall. Fun for all ages, great for learning, with four different routes for a continual challenge.
Disc Golf
The unique 18 hole course begins at the base of Grand Targhee and weaves it's way through alpine meadows, treed areas, and back to the base. It is a great activity for the whole family, and provides a fun challenge for beginners and experienced players alike. You can buy a disc, rent a disc or bring your own, the course is free!
